You step into a steel sphere the width of a small car. The hatch seals shut, and somewhere below you, nearly eleven kilometers down, is a place so extreme that fewer humans have been there than have walked on the Moon. In this video, you'll descend into Challenger Deep, the lowest point in the Mariana Trench, tracing the real history from the first 1960 dive by Jacques Piccard and Don Walsh, through James Cameron's solo descent in 2012, to Victor Vescovo's record-confirming dives in 2019. Along the way, you'll meet the amphipods and snailfish that somehow survive there, and discover the unsettling twist waiting at the bottom. If this gave you chills, hit like, drop a comment with what surprised you most, and subscribe for more journeys into the most extreme places on our planet. #marianatrench #challengerdeep #deepestpointonearth #oceanexploration #deepsea #jamescameron #donwalsh #jacquespiccard #victorvescovo #deepseacreatures #oceanfloor #hadalzone #scienceexplained #naturedocumentary #educationalvideo #oceanmysteries #wildlifefacts #deepoceanexploration #marinescience #plasticpollution
