Johnny Winter 🔥 Blues Rock Legends | Woodstock 1969 (Inspired Tribute)

🔥 THE ALBINO TEXAN WHO STOLE THE MIDNIGHT SET Welcome to Groovesque. This session is a tribute inspired by Johnny Winter's performance at Woodstock, played in the dead of night on August 18, 1969, as the festival crossed over from Sunday into Monday. Just months earlier, the Texas guitarist had signed a then-record-breaking $600,000 contract with Columbia Records after building buzz almost entirely by word of mouth. Backed by a stripped-down trio and joined onstage by his brother Edgar Winter for several songs, Winter delivered a set of raw, extended blues jams that helped cement his reputation as one of the most electrifying guitarists of his generation. The full performance stayed unreleased for four decades, finally surfacing in 2009 as part of the "Woodstock Experience" box set. This session recreates that midnight set: earnest pleading, restless wandering, bitter defiance, wild surreal imagery, and an exhilarated, tribute-filled closing celebration, all captured with the raw, unpolished character of a real 1969 outdoor festival recording. 🎧 PERFECT FOR: Late-night listening & reflection Deep focus & studying Fans of classic Texas blues rock & slide guitar songwriting Lovers of historically inspired live recordings Anyone who loves music history's most electrifying midnight sets Long drives & quiet evenings 🎵 FULL TRACKLIST: 00:00 - Johnny B Goode 04:18 - Mean Town Blue 08:26 - You Done Lost Your Good Thing Now-Mean Mistreater 12:02 - Leland Mississippi Blues 15:57 - Tell the Truth 19:30 - Mama Talk to Your Daughter 23:05 - Dallas 27:00 - I Cant Stand I 30:18 - Highway 61 Revisited 34:10 - Bad Luck and Trouble 38:24 - Miss Ann 42:07 - Tobacco Road 46:26 - Good Morning Little School Girl 👉 If this session moved you, hit LIKE, drop a comment telling us which track hit you hardest, and SUBSCRIBE to Groovesque for more legendary tributes, historic concert recreations, and live concert-style sessions every week. 🔁 Share this with someone who loves classic Texas blues rock history. 🔔 Turn on notifications so you never miss a new session. #Groovesque #JohnnyWinter #EdgarWinter #Woodstock1969 #TexasBluesRock #MeanTownBlues #InspiredTribute #LiveConcertMusic
