Why We Changed Everything: The Story Behind The Reset

#emeraldguitars #acousticguitar #carbonfiberguitar Why did Emerald Guitars decide to rethink everything? Join Emerald Guitars founder Alistair Hay for an in-depth look at the Emerald Reset, the story behind our biggest evolution yet and the beginning of a New Era for Emerald Guitars. For over 25 years, we've been pushing the boundaries of acoustic guitar design, exploring new possibilities in tone, comfort, playability and innovation through our unique carbon fiber construction. Now, we're taking the next step. Following the launch of our completely redesigned third-generation X20 family, Alistair takes us through the thinking behind the changes, the challenges of evolving our instruments, and our vision for the future of Emerald Guitars. Introducing the New Era X20 family: The first chapter of the Emerald Reset introduces five models built around our newly redesigned X20 platform: X20 Steel String, X20 Short Scale, X20 Nylon, X20-12 String and X20 Noir: A bold new addition to the Emerald family. Featuring a redesigned soundhole, a new neck profile, and further refinements to tone, comfort and playability, the New Era X20 represents the latest evolution of our flagship acoustic guitar. Designed and manufactured at Emerald HQ in Donegal, Ireland, these instruments are just the beginning of an exciting new chapter. The Emerald Reset is about more than the instruments we've just launched. It's a new approach to how we design, develop and manufacture our guitars, with further new-generation models planned for the future. Whether you're a longtime Emerald owner, a guitarist discovering carbon fiber instruments for the first time, or simply interested in the story behind innovative guitar design, we hope you'll enjoy this closer look at where Emerald has come from and where we're going. We'd love to hear your thoughts on the New Era. What do you think of the new designs, and which Emerald models would you most like to see return in the future?
