Welcome to another Bigg World Cinema adventure in the Philippines! 🇵🇭 In this video, I leave the busy side of Cebu city behind and explore a much quieter part of Lapu-Lapu, where peaceful surroundings, local neighborhoods, a fantastic balcony view and everyday Filipino life come together. I check into my new condo at Saekyung 956 and give you a full room and Airbnb-style accommodation tour, including the kitchen, bathroom, outdoor space and one of the best balconies I’ve had in the Philippines. I also check out the on-site gym and discover why this location caught my attention in the first place. Then it’s time to explore the local area. I walk through a traditional Filipino neighborhood, visit the busy market and ferry terminal, and look at the easy ferry connection between Lapu-Lapu and Cebu City. If you’re interested in travelling around Cebu, living in the Philippines, or finding quieter places away from the main tourist areas, there’s plenty here to discover. The highlight of the day is meeting Isa, a Filipino volleyball player, and having a fascinating and very entertaining conversation about life in the Philippines, relationships, dating foreigners, travel dreams, family, work and her hopes for the future. We also talk about where she would like to travel, including Australia, Canada, the USA and the UK.
