Moses and Jesus | Deric Bartlett | 2026-10-18

This past Sunday, Pastor Deric preached from Matthew 5:17–20 in a sermon titled “Moses and Jesus.” Jesus did not come to abolish the Law or the Prophets, but to fulfill them perfectly. Through His obedience and sacrifice, Christ accomplished what we could never achieve on our own. We were reminded that true righteousness is not found in outward religious observance, but in Christ, whose righteousness is received by faith and whose Spirit transforms our hearts to live in obedience to God. Sermon Notes: 1. Jesus is the perfect Law-keeper (vv. 17–18) 2. Jesus is the perfect judge (v. 19) 3. Jesus is the perfect evangelist (v. 20)
