Where are You? | Sermon Addressed by Evg Dr. Thomson George and Translated by Bro KV Thomas

Where Are You? | Genesis 3 | Grace That Moves, Sermon 1 | Dr. Thomson George Shorter option: Where Are You? When God Comes Looking for You | Genesis 3:1–15 Description Sin drives us into hiding, but grace comes looking for us. In Jesus, God not only finds us but covers us. This is the first message in Grace That Moves: The Gospel in Everyday Life, a 20-week series on how the gospel doesn’t just save us and leave us where we are. It moves us from hiding to home, from guilt to grace, and from fear to mission. We start in Eden with the first question God ever asked a human being: “Where are you?” (Genesis 3:9). We look at the lie that makes us hide, the fig leaves we still sew today (achievement, religion, busyness, a curated life online) and the God who comes walking into the garden. He isn’t coming to shame us. He’s a Father who has already set out to find us. In Genesis 3:15 we hear the first promise of the gospel, which is fulfilled in Jesus. He was uncovered so that we could be covered. 📖 Scripture: Genesis 3:1–15 🔥 This week’s challenge: Stop hiding. Answer God’s question honestly, name your fig leaf, and bring one hidden thing into the light. ⏱️ Chapters 0:00 Opening: Hide-and-seek 3:00 Reading and context: Genesis 3 6:00 The lie that makes us hide 11:00 The question that comes looking 16:00 The promise that covers us 21:00 A modern parable: The Spreadsheet 25:00 The gospel at the centre 28:00 From hiding to home: practical steps 33:00 Challenge and closing 🙏 If this message spoke to you, share it with someone who is hiding behind a smile right now.
