My Solo Ride From Broghil Valley to Shandur Pass | EP:36

After returning from Krumber Lake, I had to spend the night in Zupo because fellow bikers insisted that I stay with them. The next morning, I started my solo motorcycle journey towards Shandur Pass. On the way, I stopped in Brep to fill my bike's tank for PKR 3,800. When I reached Chunj village, I was surprised to see Taqat Wali Khan Sahib waiting for me. I had met him earlier in Mastuj Bazaar, where he invited me to visit his home. What started with tea turned into a wonderful meal, and before leaving, he gifted me some fruits and a traditional chadar. I spent 2–3 hours with his family and continued my journey with beautiful memories of their hospitality. After reaching Mastuj, I changed my bike's engine oil, repaired the broken mudguard, got a shave, packed my luggage, and had a meal before heading towards Shandur Pass. The distance from Mastuj to Shandur Pass is approximately 44 km. Along the way, I passed through Brok, Harchin, Sor Laspur, and several smaller villages in the beautiful Laspur Valley. Laspur Valley connects the Mastuj region with Shandur Pass towards Gilgit-Baltistan. This historic mountain region also has routes and passes connecting surrounding valleys, including routes towards Swat and Upper Dir. After crossing this historic mountain corridor, I finally reached Shandur Pass at approximately 12,200 feet above sea level. This legendary pass was historically part of important mountain trade routes, and road development is now changing the old off-road track. I stopped near the breathtaking Shandur Lake, completed the entry formalities at the army post, and visited a hotel at the top. I enjoyed hot tea, boiled eggs, and the incredible mountain scenery. Later, I rode towards Shandur's smaller lake, spent some peaceful time there, and ended this episode surrounded by the beauty of the mountains. But my journey was far from over! This was only the beginning of another adventure that would unfold over the next two days.
