Let's explore Mercury with Tickle Tum! We look for Mercury low in the sky before sunrise, line up the planets in the playroom, and zoom into space to find out that Mercury is the closest planet to the sun. We see that Mercury is the smallest planet, just a little bigger than our Moon, and the speediest too: it goes around the sun in only 88 days! We find out why Mercury is boiling hot in the day and freezing cold at night, make craters in the sandpit, learn about Mercury's very long days, and see why it has no moons and almost no air. We find Mercury in our sky near sunrise and sunset with a grown-up (never look at the sun!), meet the space probes that explored it, look inside at its big metal middle, and play a Mercury guessing game.
Learning: the planets in order, closest to the sun, smallest planet, a year on Mercury, hot days and cold nights, craters, long days, air and moons, finding Mercury in the sky, space probes and what's inside Mercury.
