Can you find the exact area of a right triangle when the hypotenuse is 13 units and the perimeter is 30? In this geometry problem, we use the perimeter and Pythagorean theorem to uncover a much cleaner algebraic shortcut. Instead of solving for both legs individually, we find their product directly using the square-of-a-sum identity and the difference of squares. Once the product of the perpendicular sides is known, the area follows immediately.
