YELLOWBRICKROAD (2010) Original Title: YellowBrickRoad Starring: Michael Laurino, Anessa Ramsey, Alex Draper Director: Jesse Holland, Andy Mitton Rating: R SYNOPSIS: In 1940, all 572 residents of Friar, New Hampshire, abandoned their homes and walked together along an unmarked trail into the northern wilderness. A military search party later discovered hundreds of bodies, but many of the townspeople were never found. The incident was concealed for decades, gradually becoming little more than a local legend. When the trail’s coordinates are declassified in 2008, Teddy and Melissa Barnes organize the first official expedition into the restricted territory. Their research team includes specialists equipped to document the route, study the group’s behavior, and uncover what compelled an entire community to leave everything behind. The expedition initially progresses as planned, but their maps and instruments soon become unreliable. Distances stop making sense, and old-fashioned music begins drifting through the forest without any identifiable source. As the sound grows louder, exhaustion and paranoia divide the researchers. Personal resentments surface, judgment deteriorates, and members of the expedition begin behaving with sudden violence. The deeper they travel, the more the trail appears to be changing them. Combining folk horror, wilderness survival, psychological terror, and cosmic mystery, YellowBrickRoad follows a rational investigation into a place where recorded history, human perception, and reality itself can no longer be trusted. #freemovies #englishmovies COPYRIGHT: The license to publish this film on YouTube has been duly obtained.
