Exploring Eastern Switzerland: St. Gallen, Appenzell and the famous Ascher restaurant

For the last part of our trip, we visited the Eastern side of Switzerland. We stayed in the beautiful city of St. Gallen, known for the abbey of St. Gallen. We did a day trip to Zurich on the following day. Finally, we visited the picturesque village of Appenzell and hiked around Ebenalp. The cliffhanging Ascher restaurant is very famous because it appeared on the cover of a National Geographic magazine.
