Myroslav Skoryk (1938–2020) Variations on the Swedish Folk song “Ack Värmeland, du sköna” for Piano and Orchestra European Festival: Ukrainian Spring 2026 Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra Academy Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra Academy Natalya Pasichnyk, Piano Roman Reznik, Conductor Royal Stockholm Concert Hall 1 April 2026 Variations on the Swedish Folk Song "𝘈𝘤𝘬 𝘝𝘢̈𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥, 𝘥𝘶 𝘴𝘬𝘰̈𝘯𝘢" for Piano and Orchestra is a musical tribute to one of Sweden's best-known folk melodies, reimagined through the voice of one of Ukraine's leading twentieth-century composers, 𝗠𝘆𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘃 𝗦𝗸𝗼𝗿𝘆𝗸. Led by the Ukrainian Institute in Sweden in collaboration with more than 35 partners, 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹: 𝗨𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 celebrates Ukraine as an integral part of Europe's shared cultural heritage and common future. Performed by young musicians from the Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra Academy and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra Academy, the work forms part of EUNOIA (European Network for Musical Integration and Advancement – Ukraine), a multi-year educational programme funded by the Swedish Institute.
