Nigeria is becoming increasingly expensive — but what does this actually mean for the average Nigerian earning and spending in naira? 🇳🇬 In this video, I’m sharing my thoughts on the rising cost of living in Nigeria, particularly the increasing prices of food and everyday essentials. As someone who relocated from the UK to Nigeria, I’ve been experiencing life here from a returnee’s perspective, and I’m beginning to see just how challenging the rising cost of living can be for someone earning and spending in naira. I also take you along with me as I show you more of the things I brought back from the UK to Nigeria this time around. I’ll also be checking on my plants, harvesting some of our homegrown bananas 🍌 and sharing a little glimpse into everyday life at home in Nigeria. This is part of my journey of relocating from the UK to Nigeria and building a life back home — the good, the challenging, the unexpected, and everything in between. I love being back in Nigeria, but I also believe we need to have honest conversations about what life here actually costs, especially for the average Nigerian family. So, is Nigeria becoming unaffordable? What has your experience been with the rising cost of food and everyday expenses? Let me know your thoughts in the comments. ❤️ If you’re interested in relocating from the UK to Nigeria, life in Nigeria as a returnee, the realities of moving back to Africa, cost of living in Nigeria, and my personal journey, make sure you subscribe and follow along.
