It's been a few months since I bought the Modal Skulpt, but I still haven't made any new videos. Even when I was filming the last one, it was already on my desk (off-camera). The Modal Skulpt is a really cool synth. The only problem is that sometimes I build up static electricity, and when I touch the audio output, it stuckes. I need to figure out how to deal with that. Another thing I didn't know is that, Skulpt sequencer have 128 steps, they aren't queued like in the Roland S-1. Overall, the Skulpt is very similar to the Craft Synth 2, but it doesn't have multiple waveform banks. It only has Sine-Triangle-Saw-Square-Noise. But even that's enough to create a lot of interesting sounds and modulate them. I was thinking about selling the JT-4000 and buying the Skulpt, but now I realize I'd rather sell the Volca FM2, even though I really like it too. In the end, I decided not to sell anything and keep the setup as is. I think I've assembled the perfect set of small synthesizers. The most affordable and functional Dawless setup. 00:00 Roland S-1 - Lead and Modal CraftSynth 2 - Bass (1 fader - filter) 00:17 Volca FM2 - Sine (3 fader - velocity) 00:34 Modal Skulpt - Arp (2 fader - filter) and Volca Drum - Kick drum 00:52 Behringer JT-4000 - Hi Arp (4 fader - filter) P.S. A moment of bragging: Check out how I wired the cables. Now my desk is absolutely tidy.
