One Conversation Led to a Football Showcase in Sweden

A football showcase in Sweden started with a conversation in Las Vegas. In this vlog, I share how meeting a Swedish coach led to taking Select Generation to another country. Back in February, I was watching a Swedish team at a tournament in Las Vegas when one of their coaches came over. We started talking, exchanged contact details and stayed connected. A few months later, we were discussing running a showcase together in Sweden. This video follows the trip, from travelling over and exploring the city to getting out onto the pitch for the showcase. You’ll see the players in action, the people involved and some of the moments around the event that don’t make it into a team photo. It’s another part of the story of building Select Generation through football and relationships. A conversation at one tournament became the starting point for an event somewhere completely different. Between those two moments were the follow-up, the travel and the work of bringing people together. If you’re interested in football showcases, player opportunities abroad or what goes into organising these events, this vlog takes you behind the scenes of our time in Sweden. It also shows why I value getting out there and meeting people: you don’t always know where that first conversation will lead.
