Pre Show Ritual: Joana Carneiro | Edinburgh International Festival

Journey backstage with acclaimed conductor Joana Carneiro ahead of her performance at one of the Opening Concerts for our 2024 Festival! 🎻 Rituals are so built into us that we hardly notice we're doing them! For Joana, her rituals allow her to balance travelling with her children and feeling prepared before a performance. Even if that means using a barbie hairbrush to get ready. But as a conductor, once she's on stage it's all about being together and more importantly, creating beauty together. Edinburgh International Festival is a global celebration of exceptional performing arts 💛 Make sure you're following us on all of our social media channels to see more performances and keep up to date with our latest announcements 👇
