The guy sees a crowd and thinks, “Yeah, I’m gonna march right into a human traffic jam like a New Yorker!” Unfazed, he detours double back down 44th Street like it’s all part of the plan. Bravo, Tom, bravo! That’s not a walk, it’s a New York art form! New Yorkers do not get past someone slow-walking in front without losing da shitz, and this guy’s making it look like a leisurely Sunday stroll. Tom does this walk every night, rain or shine or snow, about 1 hour and 30 minutes after the show starts, as reliable as the Empire State Building lights - you know it’s there but never know what color it’s gonna be. Here’s the thing people — respect the walk. Cheer him on quietly, but don’t go turning it into a flash mob. We can’t have everyone suddenly thinking they’re in a marathon with Tom.
