TITUS Skateboards - Albania

With its abundance of countries and major cities, as well as countless skateboard teams that have been touring them for decades, one might think that the European continent has already been completely explored in terms of skateboarding. That may be true at first glance, but there’s a small country in Southeast Europe that seems to have fallen through the cracks for years—Albania! No well-known skateboarders come from this up-and-coming country, only a few spots are known, and there isn’t even a skate shop in the capital, Tirana. Unexplored territory always holds a special allure, so in July, the TITUS Skateboards crew headed to Albania—it turned out to be the heat battle of the year! Mit seiner Dichte an Ländern und Metropolen sowie unzähligen Skateboard-Teams die selbige seit Jahrzehnten bereisen, mag man meinen, dass der europäische Kontinent skatetechnisch schon komplett erkundet ist. Das mag auf den ersten Blick auch stimmen, allerdings gibt es ein kleines Land in Südosteuropa, was scheinbar jahrelang durch das Reise-Raster gefallen ist - Albanien! Aus diesem aufstrebenden Land kommen keine bekannten Skateboarder, man kennt nur wenige Spots und in der Hauptstadt Tirana gibt es nicht mal einen Skateshop. Unerkundetes Terrain hat immer einen ganz besonderen Reiz und so ging es für die TITUS Skateboards Crew im Juli nach Albanien – es wurde zur Hitzeschlacht des Jahres!
