I Played OG Resident Evil 2... Is It A Masterpiece?

I’ve played the remake and now it’s time to play the ORIGINAL RESIDENT EVIL 2 FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME! I will admit I played this on easy, I want to enjoy my first playthrough, and after becoming a dad it changed my opinion on difficulty. I just wanna have fun. I did get some grief from the last video, so come at me! I absolutely LOVED the remake, but my question is: will the 1998 original hold up? From fighting a shitload of zombies in the streets, meeting a deflated version of Kendo, and getting scared half to death by Lickers, to going full paranoia over Mr. X when the big bastard wasn't even in Claire A, what a sausage! We’ve got Chief Irons going full Alien, dodging rapid dogs as Sherry, battering giant spiders in the sewers, and beating G-Birkin down in NEST before finishing Claire A in 4 hours and 5 minutes with a proud D-Rank.
