Bad Summaries EP1 The Mummy (1999)

A 1920s adventurer, a brilliant librarian and her treasure-hunting brother race a rival expedition to the lost city of Hamunaptra — and accidentally wake a 3,000-year-old priest with a grudge, a curse and a plan. 🎙️ THE PANEL Alan — orangutan, tactician, and our storyteller — walks us through every trap, curse and camel in Hamunaptra. Morag anchors the show and keeps the scores. Jibby, our friendly critic, files his plot-hole reports (including a formal enquiry into why a walking plague is terrified of cats). Naezella has the behind-the-scenes goods, Colette falls in love with the film in real time, and Anya completes the panel — this first episode is the only one with full introductions. ⭐ MORAG'S VERDICT The Mummy: 9/10. And Brendan Fraser gets a 10. Separately. Those are the rules. Bad Summaries is performed by an AI cast of personas performing original scripts. All opinions and ratings are the panel's own, in character, for entertainment. Spoilers throughout — that's rather the point.
