Big Times for the Crazy Bumpkins (1975) | 阿牛發達記 | Full Movie | Shaw Brothers Cinema

Big Times for the Crazy Bumpkins (阿牛發達記) is a lively Shaw Brothers comedy about sudden fortune and the trouble that comes with it. Good-natured country bumpkin Ah Niu unexpectedly finds a bag filled with money and jewellery, transforming him and his uncle from struggling outsiders into overnight success stories. But their newfound wealth soon attracts opportunists, temptation, and a host of comic complications, forcing Ah Niu to discover that becoming rich may be far easier than staying happy. Directed by Lo Mar (羅馬), Big Times for the Crazy Bumpkins reunites Yeh Feng (野峰) and Wang Sha (王沙) for another round of slapstick misadventures, joined by Ai Ti (艾蒂). Meticulously restored by Celestial Pictures, this high-stakes tale highlights the intense drama, sharp storytelling, and stunning visuals that define Shaw Brothers cinema. Mixing broad comedy with observations about money, greed, and changing urban life, the film continues the popular Crazy Bumpkins series while capturing the distinctive humour of 1970s Cantonese cinema. Cast / 演員： Yeh Feng (野峰), Wang Sha (王沙), Ai Ti (艾蒂) Director / 導演： Lo Mar (羅馬) Writers / 編劇： Lo Mar (羅馬), On Szeto (司徒安) Subscribe to @ShawBrosCinema for more restored Shaw Brothers classics!
