Despite fighting bronchitis and assisted by nasal strips Joe Bonamassa beckons the audience to stand up after showcasing instrumental guitar on Black Winter/Django at the Chicago Theater. Bonamassa played on the new Epiphone Limited Edition Joe Bonamassa Firebird 1 guitar recently announced at NAMM 2017. Joe also brought four Fender Tweed amplifiers on stage including an eighty watt Fender high power Tweed Twin amp outfitted with new Joe Bonamassa Celestion JB-85s Mach 2z speakers that are soon to be available. In front of the amp's isolation shield was a single waste basket labeled "Medical Waste Bio HazarD XXX" showing that Joe is taking his bout with winter illness on the Spring U.S. 2017 Tour in good stride. The show in Milwaukee earlier this week was rescheduled.
