Laying My Cards Down Is a song I wrote during a time of grief on my acoustic guitar, but never finished it until now as every time I tried I was emotionally challenged, now about 3yrs later…. I was recently led because So many souls are struggling & when those around me hurt-I hurt too. So I felt in my heart it was time to finish it & perhaps help someone who may relate to my journey during times of uncertainty. 💗 I want to put a special dedication to a family member during a very challenging life moment as I mixed this up especially for 💗 T.F. 💗praying that Jesus stays close within your soul and heart nonstop - you have been on my heart heavy & I had to finish this to share with you & the world 💗🙏🏽💗 Never stop-Be courageous, stay positive, remain strong as you are never alone. 🫶🏼 Also, to My brother James who was my inspiration my whole life with his unstoppable faith💗🕊️💗 He has now been called to Jesus for his next assignment a Warrior of the Kingdom, but I witnessed him in his darkest moments HE became the light to prove that Jesus has conquered all and by faith we can receive so much more … and it was then during my grief this song was wrote. 💗 And for my friends who need to remember these words in the midst of ups and downs when you feel down never give up trust & believe…… 🫶🏼 My message in this song is about finding the faith to trust & believe Jesus’ promise- he will get us through anything even when it doesnt seem possible… I had to learn how to lay down all my cards meaning my worries, my struggles, my pain, grief… What ever life dealt me… Giving it all to Jesus & trusting him is not as easy as it sounds… but once you do; your soul can feel lighter & free 🪽💗🪽 Our desires are not always what is planned for us or those we love but we can stay close to Jesus until the end….
