Summer Mirage

Archived from the Azabu Records master tape vault. Recorded in 1981 by Shonan-born city pop singer Reina Tachibana, "Summer Mirage" is her debut album — ten songs that trace a single summer, from bright, funk-driven seaside drives at sunrise to bittersweet late-night city lights and, finally, quiet ballads as the season comes to an end. Slap bass, warm Fender Rhodes electric piano, and alto sax carry the sound throughout, framing a story of love left unspoken and a summer she isn't ready to let go of. Long thought lost after the label's closure in 1992, the master tapes were rediscovered in 2025. This is the 2026 digital remaster of the full album. 🎧 Full Album: Summer Mirage — Reina Tachibana (Azabu Records, AZLP-002) https://1980s.jp 00:00 Coastal Drive 03:37 White Sail 07:05 Sunburn Radio 10:32 Half Season 14:16 Convertible Blue 17:36 Afternoon Static 21:30 City Lights, Far Shore 25:21 Neon Tideline 29:18 Last Ferry 33:17 Sea Glass Archived from the Azabu Records master tape vault.
