Alpha Touring Challenge | Season 18 | Round 2 | Oulton Park | iRacing

Today marks Round 2 for Season 18 of the Alpha Touring Challenge (ATC) as brought to you on iRacing, powered by Syncmesh and Glass & Steel Photography and Design. We shall be taking a look back at all of the racing action which took place on Monday 21st September with the aim of bringing it to you as if it were live! Following a dramatic season opener, we head to the UK for the Oulton Park Circuit. Located in the Cheshire countryside, this course is known for its aggressive elevation changes and blind apex bends. As our drivers make their way out onto its 2.69 mile International layout without its chicanes, they shall need to be prepared to fully commit to every one of its 12 corners! In the Alpha Drivers’ Championship, in a nail-biting three-way fight for the win at VIR between Matthew Meilleur; Mia Rose; and Michael Polasek, Meilleur was able to hold his nerve to take the season opening win. Can Meilleur immediately build upon his success today? Or will his rivals strike back without delay? In the Gamma Drivers’ Championship, Ian Bertolucci managed to just edge his way ahead of Jon Lauzon to take the win in Virginia despite Lauzon being the pole-sitter. However, with an opening lap incident preventing us from seeing the true potential of many of the class’s drivers, could we see new names rise to the top today? In the Delta Drivers’ Championship, with a pitlane penalty spoiling Evan Clavijo’s race-winning ambitions last week, J.B. DeJeu rose to the occasion to take victory following a close contest with Kurt Smith. Will we see Clavijo bounce back today? Or will the shorter races on the schedule allow other stars to shine? For whom will it be a jubilant jaunt in the UK? Tune in and find out!
