She tells the jury the main house burned down a couple of months into the marriage, so they moved into a one-bedroom guest home behind it. That is where, she says, the same post-nup argument started again. In her own words she describes him going for her wedding ring and her necklace, a struggle she says lasted 30 minutes while he told her he wanted a divorce and that she needed to sign. She says he ripped the necklace off. She calls it a pattern, "a consistent two-week on, two-week off situation," and says she carried it alone, "in closed doors," with nobody to go to, because people saw them in the media and wanted to see a great marriage. Asked whether anything like this had ever happened to her before, she says no. Tyreek Hill's lawyer gave the jury the other side in her opening on Day 1. She told them this case means "comparing what somebody says today, this week, in this courtroom, to what they said contemporaneous to when it was happening," and that "the story being presented during this trial is very different" from the one told at the time.
