Stephen Fleming press conference | Hemang Badani | IPL 2025, CSK vs DC | Dhoni announced retirement?

In the aftermath of the IPL 2025 clash between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC), CSK's head coach Stephen Fleming and batting coach Hemang Badani addressed the media to discuss the team's performance and strategic decisions. Stephen Fleming's Insights: Fleming emphasized the impact of key player absences on the team's dynamics. He highlighted that injuries and player unavailability have posed challenges, affecting team balance and performance. Fleming stated, "We have resources, but they haven't had time to be comfortable about their roles, and we are struggling with that." Addressing the ongoing discussions about MS Dhoni's batting position, Fleming defended the former captain's role, noting that Dhoni's knee issues influence his batting order placement. He explained, "MS judges it. His body, his knees aren't what they used to be... He can't bat 10 overs running full stick." Hemang Badani's Perspective: Batting coach Hemang Badani provided insights into the team's batting strategies and areas needing improvement. He acknowledged that while individual performances have been commendable, the team must focus on building partnerships and executing plans under pressure.
