GMK and the Anguirus Mystery

One of the most well-known pieces of trivia regarding the well-beloved Godzilla film, GMK, was that it's monster cast was changed from Varan and Anguirus to feature the more popular Mothra and King Ghidorah. This is all fine until you start to think about it for a little bit and realize "wait, is Anguirus not popular?"
