RedSeven Amplificaiton, as the name suggests, are an amplifier company from Italy. They build some insanely good, high quality tube amps that range from Vox style crunch to soaring high gain metal. The Alkemy is an overdrive pedal that they designed to be flexible as a standalone drive, or a tone shaping tool with an already driven amp. The two sides of the pedal operate independently. One side is a 24dB clean boost and the other is an overdrive. The boost can be placed before the drive to add extra drive, or after for a level boost. The drive side has two different clipping options, soft and hard, and a normal and fat voice switch. There are a huge range of tonal options available in this taking you from Tubescreamer-ish breakup to big rock and classic metal tones. In the video I am using my Jackson Adrian Smith SDX which is plugged into the Blackstar Studio 10 6L6 which is running into the Two Notes Torpedo Captor X.
