July 21st, 2021 FULL Edmonton Thunderstorm

at 8:54pm Edmonton was put under a severe thunderstorm watch as tornadic cells near Rocky Mountain house progressed North east toward the city. A tornado watch was put into place for ponoka county The northern edge of the storm was showing rotation but combined with southern storms making it more more Wind and outflow based. Their was still alot of lightning associated with the system. At 10:02pm i began recording as the storm approached the city and eventually grew into a line of storms going through the city. The storm produced 3 times the amount of rain we got all July, much needed moisture and fertilization from the lightning. At 10:20 the rain started and in a course of 20 minutes small hail fell on the western edges of the city. By 11 the storm was producing frequent lightning mostly on the north and eastern edges of the city and by 12:21am the severe thunderstorm watch was lifted. BEAUTIFUL storm.
