These Pickups Transformed My PRS Guitar from GOOD to AMAZING!

These new pickups are Mr. Glyn's take on a classic Filtertron style pickup, called simply 'Trons', housed in a custom P90 size enclosure. To say these Pickups transformed this Old PRS guitar is an understatement. I've tried and tried to like P90 pickups in this old Paul Reed Smith Custom 22 'Soapbar' Guitar but there was always something missing - until now. In this video I demo the pickups with both Clean and Distorted Tones with various tube amps. I've included some footage from a recent gig at a blues club and discuss why I like these Filtertron type pickups so much. I've used Gretsch guitars in the studio a fair bit (studio owners in house guitars). So I kinda knew what Filtertron's do... but... those guitars were all hollowbodies. I really wasn't prepared for just how good these pickups are - clear, fat and punchy with all the goodness.
