The plaintiff says she rented an apartment from the defendant, moved out shortly thereafter and has been unable to recover her security deposit. She is suing for its return. The defendant says the plaintiff failed to provide the required 30 days’ notice, did not return the keys, and caused damage by turning the heat up and opening windows.
