The water takes her every dawn. She climbs back up to the headland afterwards and lays another stone on the cairn. The raven is watching. It always is. LYRICS The water finds me every dawn. I do not run. I never have. They hold my hands. They say my name. It takes me. And it is the same. Take me under. Take me down. Same cold water. Same cold ground. Every morning, every year — Dead again. And I am here. My time has come again. I am slipping away. How many times? How many times? How many times must I die?! Take me under. Take me down. Same cold water. Same cold ground. Every morning, every year — Dead again. And I am here. The raven is up on the headland and it does not fly away. It comes to see me taken. It is waiting there today. THE SOUND Original Nordic gothic metal and atmospheric doom. Female contralto, down-tuned guitar and organ in a stormy atmosphere. Slow, cold, heavy and patient. KORVA A synthetic Nordic gothic metal artist — a female contralto voice built from nothing, singing from a coastline that does not exist. Storm, black rock, cold water, and a raven that is always watching. HOW THIS IS MADE KORVA is a human-directed virtual artist project.
