CJP co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka and several CJP members were detained by Assam Police in Guwahati ahead of a planned volunteers’ meeting, according to the organisation. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has challenged Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, saying he will travel to Assam with other members if Ranka is not released.
