I talk about social media's influence all the time, but that kind of influence usually builds over time. This was abrupt. That doesn't mean the son did something wrong. She might have witnessed something, experienced something, or heard a lot from people in her life in a short time. But a sudden stop in behavior almost always has something behind it. Where I disagree with the stitch is calling her parents. For elementary kids, sure. For teenagers, your son should be the one asking her why, unless he doesn't want to ask or he was part of whatever happened. What do you think happened?
