Our fence client in Dallas-Fort Worth booked $934,685 in sales in 90 days. That’s 140 jobs at a $6,676 average ticket, straight from their CRM. Agencies always gatekeep the website secrets behind results like that, but not today. In this video I walk through the complete 7-step system we use to build and optimize websites for home service companies, on the whiteboard: competitor research, website structure, the homepage, service pages, location pages, neighborhood pages, and how to roll them out so they get indexed. Here’s the system: The result: They came to us from an agency that collected a retainer every month and shipped basic deliverables. We stood up a new Google Business Profile in each target market, and now they rank in the top 3 across their metro, from number 1 for Celina fence builders to 86% top 3 coverage for Plano fence builders. Their organic traffic from Google took off too. Competitor research: Pick your money keyword (9 times out of 10 it’s your service plus “near me”), run a grid scan in Local Dominator or Local Falcon, and find the top 2 to 3 profiles. Audit the page each one links to: keywords on the page, review velocity, footer link spam, repeated backlink anchors and how many pages they’ve built. Then be chameleonic and match what’s already winning in your map pack. Website structure: Build it like an upside-down tree with the homepage at the top. One Google Business Profile links to your homepage. With 2 or 50, each profile links to its own city page. Plan on 30 to 50 location pages per metro, based on your competitors, keep every page within 2 to 3 clicks of the homepage, and use city-service URLs. The homepage: It’s your most powerful page and the one formula that applies to everyone. Get your keywords into the H1 and H2s, link every page back up to it, and point press releases, local backlinks and charity links at the homepage, not at your Google Business Profile. Service pages vs. service location pages: Service pages show Google you’re an authority in your niche, so talk about the work, your crews and past jobs without going city-specific. Service location pages target one service and one city, and your Google Business Profile points to one of them. Sub-service city pages only come after you have about 6 to 12 of those per metro. Location pages: This is the page your Google Business Profile links to. Aim for 50 to 80 keywords on the page, depending on your competition. Put the service and city in the title tag, add sticky navigation with a Call Now button and a contact form in the hero, and carry the service and city through every H2, your reviews, FAQs and past jobs. Then add keywords to your schema, which can even double your keyword count. Neighborhood pages: Google still rewards fresh content. Once your main location pages are built, add 4 to 6 sub-service and neighborhood pages per location around the office your profile sits in, and fill them with local proof from your CRM and your technicians. Pick neighborhoods by range, not search volume, and leave the zip codes off. Roll it out: AI makes it too easy to publish hundreds of pages. Roll them out 5 to 10 at a time, submit them to Google Search Console, make sure every page is indexed, give it 2 to 4 weeks, measure the results, then keep going. None of this happened overnight. It took months of work, and SEO still takes time, even with AI. Copy the system one step at a time. Want me to run a teardown on your market?
