Good afternoon and welcome! Join me today for my favorite flight of 2024 on board Eastern Airways Jetstream 41 from Wick to Aberdeen. This route is operated as Public Service Obligation (PSO), so fares are similar to the train journey but travel time is only 30 minutes, compared to approximately 6 hours on the train. Today, we are travelling on G-MAJD, the aircraft left the production site of British Aerospace in October 1992 and was the 6th Jetstream 41 ever built. As of November 2024. Eastern Airways is the largest of operator of the type and the only operator left in Europe.
