جاسم الضنحاني.. فنٌّ تصوغه الطبيعة وتشكّله اليد

"صعب.. ما أقدر إني أوقف" بهذه الكلمات يختصر الفنان التشكيلي "جاسم الضنحاني" من منطقة "دبا" في الفجيرة صلتَه بالفن؛ شغفٌ بدأ معه في سنوات الدراسة، واتسعَ حتى اتخذَ من بيتِه ورشةً فنية، جمع فيه أدواتَه وخاماته، وجعلَه المكان الذي يحتضن عملَه وإبداعَه. يعثر جاسم على مادّتِه وقد بدأت الطبيعةُ تشكيلَها قبلَه.. خشبٌ رسمت الأعوامُ عروقَه، وصقلَ البحر بعضَ أطرافه.. لكلِّ قطعةٍ تكوينَها، وقيمتَها التي تزداد بما تحمله من عمرٍ وندرة، حتى تخرج من يده عملاً يحتفظ بروح خامتِه وبشيءٍ من المكان الذي جاءت منه. “It’s difficult… I just can’t stop.” With these words, artist Jassim Al Dhanhani, from Dibba in Fujairah, sums up his relationship with art: a passion that began during his school years and continued to grow until he turned his home into an art studio, filling it with his tools and materials and making it a space where his work and creativity could flourish. Jassim often discovers his materials after nature has already begun shaping them: wood whose grain bears the marks of time, with edges smoothed and weathered by the sea. Each piece has its own form and character, and its value grows with the age and rarity it carries.
