Over Labor Day weekend, I set out to repeat the “Fearsome Four” — Mount Elden, Kendrick Peak, O’Leary Peak, and Humphreys Peak. This was my third time completing the challenge, but with a new twist: instead of pushing to summit all four within 24 hours (like my first attempt), I spread the climbs over four consecutive mornings. This approach gave me time to reflect, recover, and fully enjoy the beauty of Northern Arizona’s high country.
