Quiet Studio Time | Painting a Red + Yellow Coneflower

Come paint with me for a few quiet minutes while I work on a red-and-yellow coneflower against a mauve background. 🌸 In this piece, I spend most of my time building the tiny florets in the center of the flower and letting the watercolor stay loose, layered, and visibly handmade. I also talk a little about the process, the choices I’m making, and learning to leave some of the imperfect human marks in the finished work.
