Poori Degree, Zero Fees — How I Studied Software Engineering for Rs 0 | Day 2/30 #DevKeyTech

Poori degree, zero fees — I finished my BS Software Engineering at COMSATS University Islamabad (Wah Campus) without paying a single rupee. Here's exactly how, and the developer roadmap I'd follow if I started again today. In this Day 2 video of the DevKey Tech 30-Day series, I share my real story: FSc at a government college for just Rs 3,600, a 4-year fully funded Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship (now BISP Scholarships, HEC) with a Rs 20–30k stipend every semester, the 3 reasons most students miss scholarships, how to find and apply for them (with YouTube, Google and AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini), and why I started coding with HTML, CSS and JavaScript instead of C++ or Python. ⏱ CHAPTERS 0:00 Poori degree, zero fees 0:16 What you'll learn 0:51 FSc for just Rs 3,600 1:24 COMSATS + Ehsaas scholarship 2:47 Why students miss scholarships 3:18 How to find & apply 4:30 Scholarship, bike, laptop 5:38 Mentors & HTML/CSS/JS first 6:43 Internship & the 4 AM grind 8:14 Fundamental #1: one stack 9:17 Build real projects 10:40 Clients & English 11:11 Paid FYPs in 5th semester 12:04 Pick one thing, then move on 12:18 The course & mentorship ✅ KEY TAKEAWAYS • No money is not the real barrier — not applying is. • Students miss scholarships for 3 reasons: they don't know it exists, they never apply, or they apply and then doubt themselves. • Make a habit: apply for at least one scholarship every week. • Ask your university's finance and student affairs offices for their scholarship list. • Use YouTube, Google and AI (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok) to find scholarships and fill in forms. • Start coding with HTML, CSS and JavaScript — you see results instantly, and that keeps you motivated. • Master one stack, build real projects that solve real problems, deploy them, then learn React, Next.js, Angular or Django. • Learn client communication and English — by my 5th semester I was getting paid for final-year projects. ❓ FAQ Q: Can you get a software engineering degree in Pakistan without paying fees? A: Yes. I studied BS Software Engineering at COMSATS University Islamabad, Wah Campus, on a 4-year fully funded Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship that covered tuition and paid a stipend of Rs 20–30k per semester. Q: What is the Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship? A: A need-based HEC scholarship for undergraduate students in Pakistan (now called BISP Undergraduate Scholarships). It covers tuition and gives a living stipend. Q: How do I find scholarships? A: Apply for at least one every week, ask your university's finance / student affairs department for their list, and search YouTube, Google and AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Q: Should beginners learn HTML/CSS or C++/Python first? A: For web development, start with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You see your work instantly, which builds motivation. Then move to frameworks like React, Next.js, Angular, Laravel or Django. 🔗 LINKS Website: https://www.devkeytech.com Subscribe:    / @devkeytech   HEC / BISP Undergraduate Scholarships: https://www.hec.gov.pk/english/schola... 🧭 30-DAY SERIES Day 1: Who we are — DevKey Technologies Day 2: Poori degree, zero fees (this video) Day 3: coming tomorrow — subscribe so you don't miss it. 💬 Need a mentor or want to join the course?
