F.A. Kummer Cello duet

In expressing solidarity between musicians and their affiliated orchestras, CPO principal cellist Peter Martens has partnered with his sister-in-law Rosie Biss, the principal cellist of the Welsh National Opera Orchestra, in this attractive duo by Friedrich August Kummer. For those South Africans who grew up in or around Pretoria, the Swiss Theme may sound strangely familiar. It was this theme that blared from the megaphone of the much loved ice-cream truck that cruised through the residential neighbourhoods around the city in the 1980s and 90s.
