Welcome to my Numpty’s Guide to your first day in Stardew Valley! So you’ve just rocked up in Pelican Town after finally hitting rock bottom and opening the envelope your grandad gave you on his deathbed all those years ago. The town’s mayor’s handed you a load of parsnip seeds and left you to figure the rest out for yourself, and frankly you’re feeling a little overwhelmed. If this sounds like you, then you’re not alone, because I was exactly the same at first. I was almost a little scared of the game, or at least of playing it wrong, and it took me ages to work out some really obvious stuff, so hopefully if you stick around you’ll learn at least a couple of things and have a better start than I did!
