The trees, symbolic of a new beginning, have been donated to the City of Mississauga by Meadowvale-based Takeda Canada Inc. The Japanese pharmaceutical company made the donation to mark its first year in Canada. The trees, which are native to Japan, Korea and China, are now in full bloom. They're also considered an omen of good fortune and an emblem of love and respect.
