ROME Before the World's NEWEST Cruise Ship! 🇮🇹 | Legend of the Seas Cruise Vlog EP1

▶️Welcome to our brand new cruise adventure! 🚢🇮🇹 We're heading to Rome before boarding *Royal Caribbean's Legend of the Seas* — the newest and biggest cruise ship in the world! In this first episode of our Legend of the Seas series, we arrive in Rome for two days of exploring before our cruise begins. And with temperatures soaring, there's plenty of walking, sightseeing, resting… and trying not to melt! 🥵 We start our journey at **Heathrow Airport**, flying British Airways Economy to Rome. After arriving, we head straight to the **citizenM Roma Isola Tiberina**, where we're incredibly lucky to be able to check in early. After a quick look around the hotel, we head out into Rome for lunch and our first taste of the city before returning to the hotel for a break. Then it's time for our first major sightseeing adventure — the *Colosseum!* We had booked our tickets in advance through GetYourGuide, although collecting them from a rather random lady in a park wasn't quite what we expected! 😂 Despite the crowds and the intense heat, we absolutely loved exploring one of the world's most iconic landmarks. As evening arrives, we take a walk through the city, discover the **Trevi Fountain**, grab some dinner and explore the night markets along the **River Tiber**. Then it's on to Day 2! We start the morning with breakfast by the river before walking towards **Vatican City**. We don't go inside the Vatican buildings on this trip, but the incredible architecture and grandeur of the surrounding area are still spectacular. From there, we head back towards the **Roman Forum**, included with our Colosseum ticket, and spend a long time exploring the incredible ruins and imagining what life in ancient Rome must have been like. After another much-needed rest from the heat, we head back out for our evening adventure, walking across Rome to find the *Spanish Steps* — and yes, climbing them in that heat was as tiring as it sounds! 😅 Finally, we make our way back to the **Colosseum to see it illuminated at night**, before signing off the first episode of our adventure.
