In todays episode, with our Year 2 Fall harvest officially complete, we’re now shifting our focus toward getting the farm and our fields prepared for Year 3. In this episode, we begin putting the massive manure stockpile produced by our 3,000 head of beef cattle to work. We start by cleaning up the farm yard and getting our harvest equipment washed and parked away before setting up our new manure spreading operation. Our John Deere 8345R, John Deere 8400R, and New Holland TG305 are put to work with 3 brand new Meyer CropPro 9600 manure spreaders, each capable of hauling more than 30,000 liters of manure. With around 1,500,000 liters of manure stockpiled at the MEGA Beef Farm, we begin spreading manure across the 300 acre Corn field we harvested in Year 2. Courseplay and AutoDrive work together to keep all 3 spreaders moving, automatically sending them back to the cattle pens whenever they run empty so we can refill them with our John Deere 544K wheel loader. At the same time, our Challenger MT867 and New Holland 9884 continue working the 200-acre Wheat field surrounding the farm yard with 36 foot Sunflower 6631 Vertical Tillage tools. We finish the final headland passes and officially get the entire field ready for its next crop. Once that field is finished, we switch those tractors over to John Deere 2510H Anhydrous Ammonia applicators and send them to Field 28 to begin preparing another field for Year 3. We’ve got a massive amount of Fall fieldwork ahead of us, but we’re making great progress getting our fields prepared while also putting the manure produced by our 3,000 cattle to work!
