[4K] GO Transit - DC Oshawa GO Departure (EMD F59PH 560)

560 is one F59PH locomotives tailor-built for GO Transit in the 1980s and 1990s to replace older locomotives and increase relability as well as its fleet size. 560 is part of the third (out of four) order of GO Transit F59PH locomotives, bearing the Phase II style of carbody. Many F59PH locomotives were retired in the early 2010s when MP40PH-3C locomotives began entering service en-masse, but 560 was one of the eight remaining locomotive retained and rebuilt for continued service. 560 currently has the unique distinction of being the first (and currently, only) F59PH locomotive to be repainted into the Metrolinx GO livery in revenue service, the rest of the active and reacquired F59PH locomotives are expected to receive the same treatment in due time.
