Come spend a few slow days with me in Cairo. 🤍 We travelled from Sharm El Sheikh to renew our kids' Canadian passports, which meant spending a few days exploring Zamalek for the very first time. Along the way we visited cozy cafés, bookstores, restaurants, wandered the Nile Corniche, did a little shopping, explored the city by car, and took long walks beneath Cairo's beautiful tree-lined streets. We also spent a day in Maadi—my favourite neighbourhood in Cairo—and by the end of the trip, I definitely had some thoughts on the age-old question: Zamalek or Maadi?
