In this three song video that ended his concert, Rick Wakeman fills in the backstory and very humorouslly tells why he does his own variation on an encore, on CRUISE TO THE EDGE (abbreviated to CTTE in the title line) 2025. First, he covers The Beatles' Help! in the style of the French 18th century composer Camille Saint-Saëns and then he segues to another cover of the Beatles' Eleanor Rigby in the style of the Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev (regarded as one of the major composers of the 20th century). He does a short walk around the stage (his version of the pre-encore) and tells the backstory of his favorite recording session (of many incredible sessions he was involved in as the top keyboardist in London in the 60's and 70's), as he covers David Bowie's Life on Mars? to end his concert in the Stardust Theater (the ship's main venue) on the NCL Norwegion Gem Cruise Ship on April 4, 2025. Help! was written by John Lennon, although it was credited to the Lennon & McCartney partnership and was the opening and title track and second single from the Beatles' fifth studio and soundtrack album from the Beatles second movie, released in August 1965. Eleanor Rigby was written by Paul McCartney (and again credited to the Lennon McCartney partership) and was the second track and double a single (with Yellow Submarine) off Revolver one of the greatest prog albums (although it wasn't called progressive rock at the time) ever, released in August 1966. Revolver topped most of the major charts, including the US Billboard 200, the UK Albums chart and 5 other countries. Finally, Rick's "encore", Life on Mars was written by David Bowie and was the fourth track and second single From Hunky Dory, David Bowie's breakthrough and fourth studio album, released in December 1971.
