Introduction to Regulatory Impact Assessment

As the Center of Excellence on Public Sector Productivity, the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) is hosting an introductory lecture to Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) as a systemic and evidence-based approach to regulation-making. The Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Services Delivery Act of 2018 entails the conduct of RIA before a regulation can be implemented. A properly conducted RIA helps identify the real-world impact of regulations and is likely to lead to better regulatory outcomes, enhanced public sector productivity, and greater acceptance of government action among affected stakeholders.
